We seek an experienced Materials Controller who is currently working in a manufacturing environment. You must have worked in a similar role and have a keen eye for details, using in-house systems and ideally be fork-lift trained. This will be a busy role, as the client manufactures highly complex products and accurate stock management is essential.

  • Storeman: Responsible for the booking in of delivered parts against purchase orders. Setting up and maintaining minimum stock levels and ensuring that physical stock levels are in line with recorded levels. Kitting parts for production, with computer system updates. Pack, load and dispatch customer orders, as required.
  • Supervisory: Responsible for providing supervision and leadership for Warehouse Assistants. Planning and assigning warehousing tasks as appropriate. Oversee the work being carried out in the warehouse, ensuring that it meets relevant standards of Cost, Quality and Delivery. Inform the relevant personnel (and Manufacturing Manager) of any material, product or component shortages, so that adequate stocks can be procured, replenished or chased. Ensure that any drawings/parts lists that require amending are clearly identified and passed to the Engineering Department, to enable them to be updated.

Forklift Licence is very desirable. Hours of work are Mon to Thurs 07:45 to 16:30 and Friday 07:45 to 12:15. This role is available immediately. Unfortunately, we are unable to offer sponsorship for this position. Only candidates with current and valid work authorisation will be considered.
