We are currently seeking an Inspection & Goods in Assistant to join a leading international manufacturing company. This is an excellent opportunity for candidates who are available for an immediate start and have previous inspection experience within an engineering or manufacturing environment.
Working Mon to Fri 39 hours per week 8am-4.30pm with an early finish on Fri, we can offer a modern working environment with free onsite parking, weekly pay. We offer weekly pay along with paid holiday and sickness plus the chance to join our team permanently if this is of interest although we will also consider applicants seeking temporary work too.
Working within the Stores and Goods In department, you will play a key role in ensuring incoming materials and components meet the required quality standards and are available to support customer orders on time.
Key Responsibilities- Inspect incoming goods including engineering materials, purchased components, and internally manufactured parts.
- Verify that all items conform to engineering drawings, specifications, quality standards, and certification requirements before acceptance into stock or production.
- Carry out dimensional inspections using:
- Verniers/Callipers
- Height Gauges
- Screw Plug and Ring Gauges
- Plain Plug and Ring Gauges
- Micrometers
- Identify, record, and report non-conformances and defects.
- Raise non-conformance reports where required.
- Assist with stores and stock control activities.
- Ensure all inspection and measuring equipment is maintained and calibrated in accordance with company procedures.
- Previous experience in Goods In Inspection or a similar quality inspection role.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
- Practical experience using:
- Verniers/Callipers
- Height Gauges
- Screw Plug and Ring Gauges
- Plain Plug and Ring Gauges
- Micrometers
- Good attention to detail and commitment to quality standards.
- Experience within a manufacturing or engineering environment.
