Key Responsibilities and criteria to be considered:

  • Develop, implement, and maintain quality standards, procedures, inspection reports, traceability records, cure logs, and non-conformance reports.
  • Ensure compliance with ISO 9001 and customer-specific quality requirements.
  • Lead internal and external audits to verify product and process compliance.
  • Work collaboratively with production, engineering, and supply chain teams to resolve quality issues effectively.
  • Drive continuous improvement using Lean, Six Sigma, Kaizen, CAPA, and root cause analysis methodologies.
  • Optimise manufacturing processes to reduce waste, improve efficiency, and enhance product reliability.
  • Validate incoming raw materials against specifications, drawings, and supplier certifications.
  • Monitor process parameters and manufacturing compliance.
  • Support supplier development and monitor supplier quality performance.
  • Manage customer complaints and non-conformances with a structured and solutions-focused approach.
  • Strong knowledge of quality management systems, tools, and compliance frameworks.
  • Experience with root cause analysis methods such as 5 Whys, Fishbone, and FMEA.
  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings, technical specifications, and production documentation.
  • Confidence using measurement tools, statistical analysis, ERP/MES systems, and quality software.
  • Excellent communication, organisation, and problem-solving skills.
  • Understanding of resins, plastics, textiles, composites, lamination an advantage but not essential.
  • A practical, hands-on approach with the ability to influence improvements across the business.
