Personnel Selection Recruitment is seeking reliable and hard-working Assembly Operatives to support our long term establish client on the outskirts of Andover.
Our client is a manufacturing company, with the production and assembly of woodwork-related items.
Previous woodworking skills an advantage but not essential.
These will be temporary roles for 12 weeks with a view that after this period, our client will take you on directly.
This is a day shift position working Monday to Friday.
THE ROLE
Assisting with the manufacturing and production of wooden products and components.
Assembly using hand and power tools and any associated equipment.
Prepare woodwork items to the required standard.
Carrying out repetitive manual tasks safely and efficiently.
Supporting assembly, finishing, and general production duties where required.
Maintaining a clean, organised, and safe working environment.
Following instructions from supervisors and working as part of a production team.
SKILLS REQUIRED
Good attention to detail.
Previous Carpentry or Woodworking skills an advantage but not essential.
Experience of using hand and power tools confidently and safely.
Ability to follow instructions accurately.
Practical hands-on approach to work.
Good level of physical fitness.
Reliability and punctuality.
Ability to work well as part of a team.
Awareness of health and safety in a production environment.
Ability to maintain consistent quality during repetitive tasks.
A good work ethic and a reliable approach to attendance and timekeeping.
Ability to carry out physically demanding and repetitive tasks throughout the shift.
Willingness to work in different areas of production as needed.
Own safety shoes or boots are required.
All other PPE will be provided by the client.
