Personnel Selection are assisting in the recruitment of a Temporary Powder Coating Technician. The salary will be between £13ph to £15.50ph depending on experience. This is a long term ongoing temporary role which may lead to a permanent position later down the line. You will be working 8am to 4.30pm Monday to Thursday and have an early finish on Fridays. Our client is looking for someone to start immediately due to an increase of workload. Weekly pay via us as an agency.
Responsibilities and Criteria:
- We’re looking for a reliable, hands-on Powder Coater / Powder Coating Technician to join a busy production team.
- This is a great opportunity for someone who takes pride in quality finishes, works well at pace, and understands the importance of safety, consistency, and attention to detail.
- Previous experience of working as a Powder Coater is essential.
- Happy to work in a physically demanding role.
- Prepare metal components for coating, including cleaning, degreasing, masking, hanging, and surface prep.
- Apply powder coating to a high standard using spray equipment and booth systems.
- Operate curing ovens and monitor times and temperatures.
- Check finished items for coverage, colour, thickness, and overall finish quality.
- Identify defects, carry out touch-ups where needed, and report any issues.
- Work from job sheets, production instructions, and finish specifications.
- Keep the work area clean, organised, and safe at all times.
- Follow company health and safety procedures, including PPE and coating process controls.
- Support production targets while maintaining quality standards.
- Previous powder coating, paint spraying, or industrial finishing experience preferred.
- Good understanding of surface preparation, spraying techniques, and oven curing.
- Strong eye for detail and commitment to producing a high-quality finish.
- Able to work independently and as part of a team.
- Reliable, punctual, and willing to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Awareness of health and safety requirements in a manufacturing setting.
- Physically fit and comfortable handling parts and standing for long periods.
