A well-established and growing manufacturing business is seeking an experienced Part Time Accounts Assistant to support its finance function. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong bookkeeping and accounts administration experience who is looking for flexibility alongside a varied and rewarding role.

In your role, you will be working closely with the senior management team, supporting the day-to-day financial operations of the business, ensuring accurate financial records and smooth processing across accounts functions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Processing financial transactions accurately using Sage accounting software
  • Managing purchase and sales ledgers
  • Accounts payable and receivable administration
  • Bank reconciliations and invoice processing
  • Supporting payroll administration and VAT returns
  • Assisting with monthly management accounts preparation
  • Handling customer and supplier account queries
  • Maintaining accurate financial documentation and records
  • Providing general finance and administrative support
Skills & Experience Required:
  • Previous experience within an Accounts Assistant, Bookkeeper or Finance Administrator role
  • Strong working knowledge of Sage accounting software
  • Experience with bank reconciliations, purchase ledger and sales ledger
  • Good understanding of bookkeeping and accounting principles
  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills
  • Excellent attention to detail and organisational ability
  • Professional communication skills with customers and suppliers
Desirable Experience:
  • Payroll processing experience
  • VAT return preparation
  • AAT, ICB or similar accounting qualification
  • Experience producing management accounts
  • Knowledge of CIM50 software
