Join this Salisbury based maintenance company as the new Multi Trade Operative where you\’ll be carrying out planned maintenance and repairs across residential and commercial properties, focusing on tasks related to painting, carpentry, and basic plumbing. As the Multi Trade Operative, you\’ll be delivering a high-quality service in a professional and timely manner and be joining a small and dedicated team.

Working hours are 9-5 with half an hour lunch and salary for this role is £28,000 – £30,000 depending on your experience.

Key Responsibilities on the Multi Trade Operative include:

  • Perform scheduled maintenance across assigned properties to ensure all facilities remain in excellent condition.
  • Prepare surfaces, mix paints and carry out high-quality painting and decorating tasks to enhance the appearance of interiors and exteriors of residential and commercial buildings.
  • Undertake a variety of carpentry tasks, including door and window repairs, fittings and general woodwork, ensuring quality craftsmanship.
  • Address minor plumbing issues, such as repairing leaks, clearing blockages and replacing fixtures.
  • Ensure all tasks are performed in compliance with health and safety regulations and company policies, identifying and mitigating any potential hazards.
  • Diagnose issues promptly and provide effective solutions, escalating more complex problems to specialist contractors or senior management when necessary.
  • Interact professionally with property tenants and building managers, providing updates and ensuring a positive experience.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Proven experience in a multi-trade role, with proficiency in painting, carpentry and basic plumbing.
  • Relevant trade certifications are a plus but not essential.
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively across multiple properties.
  • Excellent attention to detail and commitment to high-quality workmanship.

In this role a company vehicle is provided and benefits include 28 days holiday (including Bank Holidays) and company pension.
