We’re looking for an experienced Management Accountantprofessional to join a small, dedicated team. This is a new role and offers the opportunity to shape financial processes, provide insight to senior leadership and ensure smooth delivery of all reporting and compliance.As the newManagement Accountantyou’ll managing the day-to-day finance in a hands-on position that combines technical accounting and team leadership.Salary for this position is +£40K depending on experience.
Your key responsibilities as theManagement Accountantinclude:
- Assist in the preparation of financial statements (monthly, quarterly, and annual) for internal and external stakeholders.
- Oversee the management of purchase ledger, sales ledger, nominal ledger, cash book, Payroll and Construction Industry Scheme.
- Budgeting and forecasting: development and management of budgets, forecasts, and cash flow projections.
- Contribute to the development of financial strategies and provide insights to support decision-making.
- Implement and monitor internal controls to ensure the integrity of financial records and protect company assets.
- Assist in the preparation and submission of VAT, PAYE, CIS returns and CT61 & R185’s.
- Cash Flow Management: To support Financial Accounts team with cash flow management.
- Support senior leadership with financial insights to guide business decisions
Ideally you\’ll have the following skills and experience:
- AAT qualified (or equivalent) with solid technical accounting knowledge
- Strong Excel skills and experience usingfinance software
- Previous experience managing financial reporting, payroll and ledgers
- Confident in budgeting, forecasting and cash flow management
- Able to lead a team and develop team members
