My client is a well-established supplier of professional coating products and services, looking for an experienced Business Development Manager to cover the West Sussex region.

As the new Business Development Manager, you'll be focused on winning new customers, working from home and managing your own diary with occasional visits to Head Office near Portsmouth when it’s convenient for you. Base salary is between £44,000 and £50,000 depending on experience with uncapped commission with realistic OTE earnings of £80,000. Company car, private health insurance, laptop and mobile phone.

In your role as Business Development Manager you'll:

  • Find and win new business in your region – mostly in the automotive industrial refinishing sector.
  • Contact new potential customers, arrange meetings and explain products and services.
  • Build strong relationships with all stakeholders.
  • Track sales activity and customer meetings.
  • Share insights about competitors and market trends with internal teams.
  • Support account handover to the account management team.

What You’ll Need:

  • Experience in B2B sales, ideally in manufacturing or a technical sales role.
  • A strong track record of winning new customers.
  • Confidence working independently and managing your own territory.
  • A full UK driving licence and willingness to travel within the region.
