We are a growing staffing agency supplying temporary and permanent staff to businesses across logistics, warehousing, manufacturing, driving, engineering and office based roles. We are looking for someone with strong people skills, confidence and commercial awareness to join our team as a Recruitment Consultant. Recruitment experience is not essential. What matters more to us is your attitude, your ability to build relationships and whether you are comfortable picking up the phone, speaking to new people and creating opportunities.
You might currently work in sales, customer service, account management, hospitality, retail, automotive, property or another role where dealing with people and working towards targets comes naturally. If you already work in recruitment, we would also be very interested in speaking with you.
The role
- You will manage your own area and gradually build a portfolio of clients and candidates.
- A large part of the role is developing new business, which means researching companies in your area, contacting decision makers, visiting businesses and understanding where we can help with their staffing requirements.
- Once you win a client, you will manage the recruitment process and relationship from start to finish.
- Your day will include:
- Finding and contacting potential new clients
- Meeting businesses and understanding their staffing requirements
- Building long term client relationships
- Advertising vacancies and searching for suitable candidates
- Speaking with and interviewing candidates
- Matching people to temporary and permanent jobs
- Managing temporary workers and client bookings
- Keeping in regular contact with clients and identifying further opportunities
- Working towards your own financial and activity targets
What we are looking for
- Confident speaking with people you have never met before
- Comfortable picking up the phone and starting conversations
- Naturally curious and good at asking questions
- Commercially minded and able to spot opportunities
- Organised and able to manage several things at once
- Motivated by targets and the opportunity to increase your earnings
- Resilient when things do not go exactly to plan
- Someone who takes ownership rather than waiting to be told what to do
You do not need to arrive knowing how recruitment works. We can teach you the recruitment process, systems and industry knowledge. What is much harder to teach is confidence, curiosity, drive and the ability to build relationships.
What you can earn
You will receive a £25,000 to £30,000 basic salary plus an uncapped performance bonus. Our monthly and quarterly bonus structure is linked directly to your billings, with the opportunity to earn up to 30% of billings. As your desk and responsibilities grow, there is also a clear progression route within the business.
What we offer
- £25,000 to £30,000 basic salary
- Uncapped monthly and quarterly performance bonus
- Hybrid working
- Work from anywhere for up to 2 weeks each year
- 25 days holiday plus bank holidays
- Healthcare cash back including dental and optical benefits
- Retail and lifestyle discount platform
- Training and ongoing support
- Clear opportunities to progress as the business grows
Interested? If you are good with people, commercially minded and like the idea of building something that directly affects what you earn, we would like to hear from you. You do not need recruitment experience to apply. Send us your CV and we can have an initial conversation about the role.
