Senior Transport Planner
Location: Bristol
Salary: £30,000 £55,000 per annum (dependent on experience)

The team takes an integrated approach to supporting clients across all stages of a project from conception and planning through to delivery. Role specifics:As a Senior Transport Planner, you will play a key role in shaping and delivering a wide range of development planning projects, including:
- Producing technical reports: Access Appraisals, Transport Statements, Transport Assessments, Travel Plans, and WCHAR/ATZ Assessments.
- Undertaking junction capacity modelling and initial CAD work, including Swept Path Analysis.
- Engaging with stakeholders, clients, and external project teams.
- Representing the company at meetings, public consultations, and exhibitions.
- Collaborating with team members across the consultancy.
Person specification:
We\’re looking for someone adaptable and proactive, with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. The ideal candidate will bring:
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong numeracy skills and proficiency in MS Excel.
- Experience preparing high-quality technical documents and reports.
- A logical, systematic approach to problem-solving.
- High levels of organisation and time management, with the ability to prioritise multiple tasks.
Qualifications & Experience:
- A degree in a relevant subject (e.g. Geography, Civil Engineering, Planning, Mathematics) is preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years\’ experience as a Transport Planner.
- Experience managing smaller-scale projects independently.
- Familiarity with TRICS, TemPro, Junctions 9 (Arcady/Picady); experience with LinSig, GIS, Microsimulation, or CAD is a bonus.
- Working towards TPS Professional Development Scheme (PDS) or similar is desirable.
- Existing professional network or client contacts in the South West region would be advantageous.
