Fire Alarm Engineer
Location: Rainham, East London
Salary: £36,000 to £48,000 depending on experience, with overtime and weekend work available
About the Role
We are recruiting an Experienced Fire Alarm Engineer to join a fire alarm engineering company based in Rainham, East London. This is a great opportunity for a qualified engineer with Gent system experience who is confident carrying out fire alarm maintenance, fault finding and small installation works.
The role would suit a Fire Alarm Engineer, Fire Systems Engineer or experienced Fire and Security Engineer looking to develop their skills and work with established fire alarm systems.
What You’ll Do

Carry out fault finding and repairs on fire alarm systems.

Complete small installation and modification works.

Identify system faults and ensure issues are resolved efficiently.

Test, inspect and maintain fire alarm systems as required.

Work safely and professionally while maintaining high standards.

Provide a reliable service to customers and support the wider engineering team.
What We’re Looking For

Experience working as a Fire Alarm Engineer or in a similar fire systems role.

Gent trained, with hands-on experience working with Gent fire alarm systems.

A valid ECS card (Electrotechnical Certification Scheme).

At least one year of relevant industry experience.

The ability to carry out fault finding and small works independently.

A professional approach, good problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Who Might Suit This Role
This role could suit an Experienced Fire Alarm Engineer, Fire Systems Engineer, Fire and Security Engineer or Fire Alarm Service Engineer with relevant Gent system experience. Engineers working in commercial fire protection, building services or electrical systems may also have transferable skills, provided they meet the Gent training and ECS card requirements.
