HR Coordinator – Maternity Cover

Location: Oldbury
Salary: £30,000 - £34,000 DOE
Contract: Maternity Cover until January 2028
Start: October 2026
Hours: Full-time, fully office-based

The Role

We are recruiting an experienced HR Coordinator to join a well-established national business based in Oldbury.

This is a varied, admin-focused role covering the full employee lifecycle, with exposure to recruitment, onboarding, compliance and employee relations.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage onboarding, contracts and employee documentation
• Complete compliance checks and set up DBS applications
• Support recruitment and new starter processes
• Manage HR inbox enquiries from employees and managers
• Maintain accurate employee records and HR documentation
• Support disciplinaries, grievances and investigations
• Take accurate minutes during HR meetings
• Chase outstanding actions with managers and employees
• Manage offboarding and leaver documentation
• Ensure processes are compliant with employment legislation and company procedures

What We’re Looking For

• Previous HR, recruitment or onboarding experience
• Strong administration and organisational skills
• Good understanding of HR processes and employment legislation
• Confident communicating with employees and managers over the phone and email
• Comfortable handling confidential and sensitive information
• Able to react quickly and manage changing priorities
• CIPD qualification is beneficial but not essential - practical experience is more important
