About the Role
We are recruiting a Production Operative to join an established manufacturing team in Newmarket.
This is a temporary-to-permanent position, offering the opportunity to transition into a permanent contract following a successful trial period. In this role, you will help manufacture high-quality components and products within a busy workshop environment. Full training is provided, making this a great opportunity for anyone looking to build practical production and manufacturing skills.
Salary and Shifts
Pay Rate: £14.00 per hour
Shift Pattern: Monday to Friday, 08:00 to 16:30
Location: Newmarket
What You’ll Do

Assemble components and manufactured products using hand tools and power tools

Measure materials accurately and prepare items to specification

Work alongside the production team to hit daily manufacturing and assembly targets

Keep your workspace clean, tidy, and compliant with health and safety standards
What We’re Looking For

Punctual, dependable, and keen to learn new practical skills

Must have your own tape measure, hammer, and safety boots with puncture-resistant midsole protection (P distinction)
Nice to Have

Experience using a pneumatic nail gun

Experience in carpentry, joinery, or basic woodworking

Experience using basic workshop tools or assembly machinery

Any background in manufacturing, assembly, or mechanical work

A valid driving licence
Who Might Suit This Role
If you have experience as an assembly operative, factory worker, bench assembler, or workshop assistant, your skills will transfer well to this role.
We also welcome applications from people with backgrounds in general construction or practical hands-on work who enjoy active, physical tasks and want to build a career in production.
