About the Role
We are recruiting on behalf of a well established furniture delivery company for an experienced Tramping HGV Class 1 Driver based in Bishops Stortford. This is a short-term ad hoc assignment covering sickness absence from Tuesday 26th May to Friday 29th May. The work involves tramping duties, overnight trailer swaps, and long distance driving. There may also be opportunities for ongoing work after this booking.
What You’ll Do
- Complete Class 1 tramping work across planned routes
- Carry out overnight trailer swap work in Manchester
- Sleep overnight in the vehicle during tramping duties
- Deliver and collect goods safely and professionally
- Carry out vehicle checks before and after shifts
- Follow driver hours and road safety regulations
- Maintain communication with the transport team
- Represent the company professionally when on site and on the road
What We’re Looking For
- Valid HGV Class 1 licence
- Full UK driving licence
- Valid CPC Card
- Valid Digital Tachograph Card
- Previous Class 1 driving experience
- Previous tramping experience
- Confident driving a Class 1 vehicle
- Reliable, professional, and safety-focused approach
