About the Role
Our client, a highly regarded Paint and Bodyshop based in Elstree, is seeking an experienced MET Fitter to join their skilled team. This role is ideal for candidates who may also be known as a Mechanical Electrical Trim Fitter, Strip and Refit Technician, or Bodyshop MET Technician, and who are looking to develop their career within a professional and supportive workshop environment. As a MET Fitter, you will be responsible for carrying out high-quality mechanical, electrical, and trim work on a wide range of vehicles. From stripping and refitting components to diagnosing and resolving faults, you’ll play a key part in ensuring vehicles are repaired and finished to manufacturer standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out all MET Fitter duties including stripping and refitting mechanical, electrical, and trim components.
- Work closely with panel beaters and paint technicians to ensure smooth workflow and timely completion of repairs.
- Diagnose and resolve mechanical or electrical issues efficiently.
- Ensure compliance with bodyshop procedures and manufacturer specifications.
Skills & Experience Required
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience as a MET Fitter, Vehicle MET Fitter, or Automotive MET Specialist.
- Must have own tools.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong attention to detail with a focus on quality.
