We are working with a local authority client to recruit a Recruitment Support Assistant to join their busy HR and recruitment team on an initial 3 month contract.

This is a hands-on role supporting end-to-end recruitment activity, working closely with hiring managers and candidates to keep processes running smoothly and compliantly.

Responsibilities
  • Meeting with recruiting managers to agree recruitment plans and timeframes
  • Reviewing job descriptions and adverts for accuracy and consistency
  • Uploading job adverts onto the ATS
  • Downloading and processing job application forms
  • Liaising with recruiting managers in line with recruitment policy and procedure
  • Coordinating interview arrangements with candidates
  • Keeping electronic recruitment records fully up to date
  • Providing regular progress updates to recruiting managers
  • Administering pre-employment checks including Right to Work and references
What we are looking for
  • Previous experience in a recruitment or HR administration role
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
  • Confidence dealing with stakeholders and candidates at all levels
  • Ability to manage multiple vacancies and deadlines at once
  • Someone available to start as soon as possible
Working arrangement

The role is hybrid, working across Brentwood Borough Council at the Town Hall on Ingrave Road, Rochford District Council based at Southend Airport Business Park, and from home. This can be discussed and adjusted for the right candidate.
