About the Role
We are recruiting on behalf of a well-established grounds maintenance company looking for a reliable Grounds Maintenance Operative to join their team in Nottingham. This is a hands-on outdoor role working across a range of sites helping to keep outdoor spaces clean, tidy and well maintained. This opportunity would suit someone with previous grounds maintenance or landscaping experience who enjoys working outdoors and as part of a team. People with backgrounds as a gardener, landscape operative, greenkeeper, estate operative, or outdoor maintenance worker may also find their experience highly transferable.
What You’ll Do
- Carry out general grounds maintenance duties across a variety of sites
- Grass cutting using pedestrian and ride-on mowers
- Hedge cutting, pruning and strimming
- Weed control and spraying using PA1 and PA6 certification
- Litter picking and general site tidying
- Support landscaping and seasonal maintenance work
- Travel between sites using company vehicles where required
- Work safely and follow health and safety procedures
What We’re Looking For
- Previous experience in grounds maintenance, landscaping, gardening or similar outdoor maintenance roles
- Valid PA1 and PA6 spraying licences
- Full UK driving licence
- Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions
- Reliable, punctual and able to work well as part of a team
