The Role
We are seeking a Litigation Associate (2–6 PQE) currently based in London or the UK with strong experience in financial services disputes and/or insolvency litigation. You will relocate to the Cayman Islands and work directly with senior lawyers on complex, cross-border, high-value matters from day one. The environment is intentionally low leverage, meaning you will take on real responsibility early, with direct exposure to clients, strategy, and court-facing work.
Key Responsibilities
- Advise on complex commercial litigation and insolvency matters
- Manage contentious proceedings before the Cayman Islands courts
- Draft pleadings, affidavits, submissions, opinions, and correspondence
- Conduct high-level legal research and strategic analysis
- Support litigation strategy and case direction alongside senior lawyers
- Liaise with leading counsel, experts, and insolvency practitioners
- Contribute to business development and the growth of the practice
Candidate Profile
We are looking for London-based associates who bring:
- 2–6 years’ PQE from a leading UK or offshore law firm
- Strong experience in disputes, ideally financial services litigation and/or insolvency
- Excellent academic credentials and technical legal ability
- Outstanding drafting, analytical, and communication skills
- Commercial awareness and strong strategic thinking ability
- Confidence operating with autonomy in a high-performance environment
