We're recruiting on behalf of a leading Bermuda law firm for a Senior Associate to join its highly regarded Dispute Resolution practice.
This is a rare opportunity to play a key role in the continued growth of a market-leading offshore litigation team, working on some of the most complex and high-value cross-border restructuring and insolvency matters in the market.
The Role
You'll work alongside recognised leaders in offshore litigation, advising clients on sophisticated restructuring, insolvency and commercial disputes with an international focus.
Key responsibilities include
- Leading complex restructuring and insolvency litigation matters.
- Appearing before the Bermuda courts on significant contentious disputes.
- Managing matters from inception through to resolution.
- Working closely with partners on major cross-border cases.
- Mentoring junior lawyers and contributing to team development.
- Supporting business development and helping grow the firm's restructuring and insolvency practice.
About You
We're keen to hear from lawyers who have
✔ 10+ years' PQE.
✔ Significant experience in restructuring and insolvency litigation.
✔ Strong advocacy and court experience.
✔ Experience handling complex, high-value commercial disputes.
✔ A background with a leading London, offshore, Commonwealth or international law firm.
✔ Excellent client relationship and business development skills.
Ideal candidates may also have
- UK Bar qualifications or strong advocacy experience.
- Offshore experience in Bermuda, the Cayman Islands, BVI or the Channel Islands.
- Dual qualification or experience within Commonwealth jurisdictions such as Australia, Canada or South Africa.
- Experience gained at a Magic Circle, Silver Circle or leading offshore law firm.
