You will take a lead role in building the latest version of a product that allows our customers to report and visualise their key employee/HR data.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Analytical Product Development: Design, develop and maintain a robust scalable analytical product to deliver a best-in-class experience for our customers.
  • Data Modeling: Experience of building data models (logical domain models) observing data integrity and ensuring consistency. Collaborate with stakeholders to understand data requirements and design appropriate data representations.
  • Performance Optimization: Identify and implement performance improvements in backend services to ensure a responsive experience is provided to the customers.
  • Data Security and Governance: Implement and enforce data security measures and governance policies to protect sensitive information. Ensure compliance with data privacy regulations.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including data scientists, data engineers and software engineers, to understand their functional needs and provide timely and accurate support.
  • Documentation: Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for engineering processes and system architecture.
  • Continuous Learning: Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in engineering. Apply this knowledge to enhance and evolve our product offering and infrastructure.

Role Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Staff or Principal Engineer, with a track record of designing and implementing data-intensive solutions.
  • Strong experience working with event-based architecture with strong proficiency with Kafka.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Java or Kotlin.
  • Strong experience with data warehousing technologies (e.g., Snowflake, Redshift) and proficiency in SQL and JOOQ Query Generation.
  • Experience of working in an event-driven architecture environment and cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP).
  • Familiarity with data governance and security best practices.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or collaboratively in a team.
