The work is meaningful, high-impact, and visible at the highest levels of the company. You’ll inherit a strong, ambitious team, step into a problem space that is still in discovery, and shape both delivery and people outcomes during a pivotal phase of growth.

  • Is London-based, with a strong in-office culture
  • Is high-performing, ambitious, and keen to grow
  • Owns greenfield work that is well-scoped but not yet fully defined
  • Works closely with Product, Design, Money, Payroll, Platform, and other partner teams

What You’ll Do

  • Lead, mentor, and develop a talented team of software engineers, fostering their growth and career progression
  • Own delivery for a high-visibility, business-critical initiative directly connected to our market expansion efforts
  • Set high standards for technical and execution excellence, continually raising the bar
  • Collaborate closely with Product and Design partners to shape impactful solutions from early discovery through landing
  • Apply your engineering background to give clear technical guidance
  • Navigate complexity and ambiguity, helping your team thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment

What We’re Looking For

  • Proven experience as a senior Engineering Manager leading product teams to success
  • Strong engineering background with the ability to engage meaningfully in technical discussions and support decision-making
  • Experience operating in ambiguous, fast-paced environments, embracing new challenges and learning quickly
  • Track record of coaching and growing engineers to the next level
  • Skilled at fostering a healthy, inclusive team culture and navigating people dynamics with empathy and professionalism
  • Collaborative leadership style with excellent stakeholder management abilities and a track record of effective cross-functional collaboration

Why Personio

At Personio, we believe in hybrid working that balances flexibility with in-person collaboration. This role is office-based, with 2 days per week required in our London office. You’ll also enjoy:

  • Competitive compensation, including salary, benefits, and pre-IPO equity
