Nursing Assistant, Certified, Long Term Care in Lancaster

Role:

Nursing Assistant (NA) - serving as a caregiver in long-term care, providing resident-centered nursing and daily living assistance under RN supervision.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver age-appropriate care, including bathing, toileting, grooming, dressing, and recording vital signs.
• Assist with transfers, repositioning, walking, and range of motion exercises.
• Support residents during meals and snacks, ensuring a positive dining experience.
• Document resident interactions, communicate changes to nursing staff, and assist with non-invasive specimen collection.
• Perform housekeeping and laundry duties to maintain a clean environment.
• Encourage participation in wellness and recreational activities.
• Assist providers with procedures as needed and participate in departmental committees.

Qualifications & Skills

• High school diploma or GED preferred; minimum age of 16.
• Current CNA certification or enrollment in a training program leading to certification within four months.
• Completion of annual competency testing and continuing education (minimum 12 hours/year).
• Knowledge of infection control policies, proper transfer techniques, and resident care procedures.
• Ability to communicate effectively and work as part of a team.

Additional Requirements: For some roles, valid driver’s license and medical clearance to perform driving responsibilities.
