PHP is a digital-first clinical homecare provider delivering complex medicines and nursing services to patients across the UK. We work with NHS commissioners, pharmaceutical manufacturers, and specialist partners to provide safe, seamless homecare — and we're growing. This is a newly created role at the heart of our commercial operations.

You will own our contract framework end to end — from drafting and negotiating agreements with pharma manufacturers and NHS commissioners, to ensuring our operational teams understand what's been committed and what's expected. You will also contribute to how we grow commercially: new service models, new partnerships, and new opportunities.

We're looking for someone who communicates well, builds relationships easily, picks things up quickly, and is genuinely excited to be part of what we're building. The right attitude and a willingness to learn will take you a long way here.

What you’ll do
  • Contract management: You will be the owner of PHP's commercial contracts — responsible for ensuring every agreement accurately reflects what's been agreed on scope, service levels, and regulatory requirements. This includes drafting, reviewing, and negotiating contracts with pharmaceutical manufacturers, NHS commissioners, and other partners, and managing the full contract lifecycle from signature through to renewal.
  • Review existing agreements to identify gaps, inconsistencies, or areas that need updating, and work with relevant teams to resolve them.
  • Monitor milestones, KPIs, renewals, and performance obligations — and flag risks to leadership before they escalate.
  • Legal advisory and compliance: Act as the first point of contact for legal and contractual matters across the business, providing clear and practical guidance. Where specialist advice is needed, manage external counsel and ensure their input is put to good use.
  • Advise on data protection, GDPR, and confidentiality matters in collaboration with the Data Protection Officer.
  • Keep the legal register up to date and support compliance with MHRA, GPhC, and other regulatory requirements.
  • Support due diligence activities and help the business understand and manage legal risk.
  • Deliver guidance and training to colleagues on contract awareness and compliance, keeping department leads informed of their contractual responsibilities.
  • Commercial relationships and service implementation: When PHP launches a new pharmaceutical service or responds to a tender, ensure the commercial commitment is reflected in the operational reality — working alongside the commercial team and across our internal teams to close the gap between what's been contracted and what happens on the ground.
  • Support RFP, RFQ, and tender responses, bringing contractual clarity to commercial bids.
  • Work across NHS, Operations, Pharmacy, and Implementation to ensure everyone is ready before a service goes live.
  • Bring commercial clarity to implementation planning so nothing gets lost in translation.
  • Beyond day-to-day contract management, contribute to PHP's commercial thinking — helping to shape new service models, evaluate partnerships, and identify growth opportunities.
  • Feed into PHP's commercial roadmap, including new pharma opportunities and evolving service models.
  • Contribute to partnership decisions for nursing providers, transport partners, and subcontractors — assessing commercial value and strategic fit.
  • Keep across market developments, emerging therapy areas, and the competitive landscape.
