Personal Homecare Pharmacy is a trusted, digital-first clinical homecare provider with over 15 years of experience delivering personalised pharmaceutical services across the UK. We collaborate with NHS trusts, hospitals, and pharmaceutical manufacturers to ensure patients receive their prescribed medications safely and conveniently at home β from prescription to doorstep.
As a growing SME that has earned its place alongside established industry names, we're proud of our track record of innovation, patient-centred care, and operational excellence. Our technology-driven approach, including real-time tracking, e-prescribing, and precision analytics sets us apart in the homecare pharmacy landscape.
As we continue to grow, we're investing in our People team, and we're looking for an experienced People Generalist to help us attract, develop and retain the people behind our patient care.
The role
This is a varied, hands-on People Generalist role, ideal for an experienced HR Advisor or People/HR Generalist ready for broad, generalist scope in a growing healthcare business. Reporting directly to our Head of People, you'll work alongside our People Partner and People Advisor, providing day-to-day advice and support across the full employee lifecycle.
Recruitment is a big part of this role. As we grow, we're hiring continuously across the business, and we want every new starter to have a great experience from application through to their first year. You'll end-to-end recruitment and play a key part in improving how we attract, onboard and retain our people.
What you'll be doing
Recruitment and onboarding
- Supporting end-to-end recruitment and talent acquisition: working with hiring managers on role requirements, writing job descriptions and adverts, screening, interviewing and managing offers through our ATS
- Managing job boards and finding new ways to reach great candidates
- Carrying out pre-employment checks, including references, right to work and DBS where required
- Delivering a strong onboarding and induction experience, and supporting managers through probation reviews
- Using data such as exit interviews and leaver trends to improve candidate attraction and employee retention
Employee relations and advice
- Acting as a point of contact for People queries from managers and colleagues
- Supporting employee relations (ER) casework, including investigations, disciplinaries, grievances, capability and performance management
- Managing absence cases, including return-to-work processes, occupational health referrals and reasonable adjustments
- Handling flexible working requests and family-friendly leave such as maternity, paternity and shared parental leave
- Coaching managers to handle people matters confidently, consistently and in line with employment law
People operations and reporting
- Preparing contracts, contract changes and offer letters, and managing the full starter, mover and leaver process
- Keeping our HRIS (People HR) accurate and up to date, and supplying monthly payroll changes
- Producing People reports and metrics, including absence, turnover, recruitment and headcount
- Supporting GDPR and data protection compliance across People records and requests
Policy, development and projects
- Reviewing and updating People policies and procedures in line with UK employment law and best practice
- Supporting learning and development activity, including tracking mandatory training
- Contributing to employee engagement and wellbeing initiatives
- Supporting wider People projects such as organisational change, pay and grading, and process improvement
What we're looking for
- Minimum 5 years' experience as an HR Generalist, HR Advisor or in a similar People role
- Strong, recent experience of high-volume or end-to-end recruitment
- Experience handling employee relations casework and absence management
- Good working knowledge of UK employment law
- Confidence advising managers, with sound judgement and discretion
- Organised and comfortable juggling priorities in a fast-paced, growing business
- Experience in healthcare, pharmacy or a regulated environment is a plus
- Experience with People HR or a similar HRIS or ATS is a plus
What we offer
- Hybrid working, typically 3 days in the office and 2 from home
- YuLife Wellbeing app and Rewards
- Real opportunities to develop
- The chance to shape a People function during a period of growth
