We are looking for a compassionate, reliable, and physically fit Personal Assistant to support a boy aged 8. The worker will provide one-to-one support for the child who is autistic and has an ADHD diagnosis. He requires support with personal care, a structured routine, constant supervision, and close attention as he may be a flight risk. This role requires someone who is alert, energetic, safety-focused, and able to always respond quickly.
Working Hours:
- Wed: 3/3.30-6/6.30pm (3 hours)
- Fri: 3/3.30-6/6.30pm (3 hours)
- Sun: 10-2pm (4 hours)
With a slight bit of flexibility, you will be working alongside another carer who is caring for a sibling.
Role Responsibilities:
- Provide one-to-one supervision and always ensure safety
- Support with personal care and daily routines
- Help manage behaviours and emotional regulation
- Support communication using alternative methods
- Assist with local outings and activities
Requirements:
- Experience supporting autistic children
- Understanding of ADHD and behavioural support
- Physically able to respond quickly if needed
- Patient, calm, and consistent
- Enhanced PVG/background check required
