We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Disability Support Worker to provide essential assistance to individuals with disabilities. This paid position offers an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of those requiring support with daily activities.

Responsibilities
  • Assist clients with daily living activities, including personal care, mobility, and household tasks
  • Develop and implement personalised care plans in collaboration with healthcare professionals and families
  • Support clients in participating in social and recreational activities to promote engagement and wellbeing
  • Provide transportation as needed, including driving clients to appointments or community activities
  • Monitor and record client progress, reporting any concerns or changes to the relevant team members
  • Maintain a safe and clean environment, adhering to health and safety regulations
  • Communicate effectively with clients, families, and team members to ensure consistent care delivery
Requirements
  • Experience working with children or individuals with disabilities is highly desirable
  • Valid driving licence and ability to drive safely within the community
  • Knowledge of childcare practices and support strategies tailored to individual needs
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to build rapport with clients and their families
  • Basic IT skills for documentation and communication purposes
  • Compassionate attitude with a genuine desire to support others’ independence and quality of life
  • Ability to work flexibly within scheduled shifts, including some evenings or weekends if required.

Looking for Personal Assistants for the following – Tuesday & Friday (on contract) and Two Saturdays a month (on contract).
