Robert is a 17-year-old male who has complex needs. He is polite, well-mannered and has a good sense of humour, enjoying light-hearted interaction with those around him. Robert benefits from physical exercise and loves walking, swimming and attending the gym. He wants to engage more in community-based activities and loves to complete tasks himself as it gives him a sense of achievement and independence with the appropriate support in place. Robert can become overwhelmed in busy, noisy or unpredictable environments. He is highly observant and responsive to his surroundings, which means he can be affected by changes and behaviours of others.
CLIENT REQUIREMENTS
- Must be compassionate, reliable, high energy and have experience in supporting young people with complex needs.
- Provide two to one support with emphasis on health & wellbeing.
- Support Robert to participate in his hobbies & social activities.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Networking with all support organisations connected to Robert’s support plan.
- Flexibility will be required to meet clients’ needs; days & hours will be discussed in depth at the interview stage.
- A new PVG will be required for this post. Help can be obtained through employers to obtain a PVG.
