We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Children's Home Registered Manager to oversee the daily operations of a children's residential home. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the delivery of high-quality care, maintaining compliance with regulatory standards, and leading a team of care professionals. Duties

  • Lead and manage the overall operation of the children's home, ensuring adherence to all statutory and regulatory requirements.
  • Supervise and support staff, fostering a positive team environment through effective leadership and supervision.
  • Ensure the safety, wellbeing, and development of all children in residence by maintaining high standards of care and safeguarding practices.
  • Maintain accurate documentation related to care plans, incident reports, and regulatory compliance.
  • Liaise with external agencies such as social services, health professionals, and educational providers to coordinate comprehensive support for children.
  • Manage budgets, resources, and administrative tasks associated with running a children's home effectively.
  • Promote a nurturing environment that encourages children's personal development whilst respecting their individual backgrounds and needs.

Requirements

  • Proven management experience with strong leadership qualities within a children's home environment as a Registered Manager.
  • Level 5 Diploma in Children and Young People.
  • Extensive knowledge of regulations and Ofsted.
  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to oversee multiple responsibilities simultaneously.
  • Compassionate approach with a genuine commitment to child welfare and safeguarding standards.
  • Knowledge of relevant legislation governing children's residential care services.
  • Ability to lead by example whilst fostering a positive team culture focused on continuous improvement.
