The Role
As the Deputy Manager, you will support the Registered Manager in the day-to-day running of the home. You will lead by example, ensuring the highest standards of care and safeguarding are maintained. This is a hands-on role combining leadership responsibilities with direct care.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the Registered Manager in ensuring the home meets Ofsted regulations and achieves \"good\" or \"outstanding\" ratings.
- Lead shifts and supervise a team of Support Workers.
- Support in rota planning, staff development and mentoring.
- Manage and oversee care planning, risk assessments, and behaviour support strategies.
- Promote positive outcomes in education, health and emotional wellbeing.
- Act as a designated safeguarding lead in the absence of the manager.
About You
- NVQ Level 3 in Residential Childcare (or Children & Young people).
- At least 1 year of experience as a Deputy Manager.
- Knowledge of Children\'s Homes Regulations and Ofsted.
- Excellent communication, leadership and organisation skills.
- Full UK Driving License and Full Right to Work.
