THE ROLE

The successful candidate will work closely with the Export Customer Service Team Leader/Manager to support and improve operational quality and productivity. This involves developing the customer service team, reviewing KPIs, processes, and procedures, and managing departmental projects.

The role requires handling daily operations with a focus on delivering excellent customer service, keeping customers informed, and ensuring high satisfaction levels.

What You\'ll Be Doing

  • Maintain and enhance customer satisfaction to foster business growth and cross-selling opportunities.
  • Provide quality customer service via phone, email, and face-to-face interactions.
  • Achieve specific KPI targets to ensure high customer satisfaction.
  • Maintain thorough knowledge of internal/external systems, services, and relevant legislation & maritime regulations.
  • Coordinate proactively with other departments to ensure quality service.
  • Build rapport with trade partners, overseas agencies, suppliers, and customers.
  • Participate in off-site meetings for service review and new customer onboarding.
  • Review and improve processes and procedures.
  • Ensure accurate bookings and timely vessel updates.
  • Handle import/export bookings, cross bookings, and meet vessel recap deadlines.
  • Communicate vessel updates and manage customer expectations regarding late or failed collections.
  • Handle complaints professionally and escalate when necessary.
  • Complete invoicing, resolve queries, and apply relevant charges.
  • Support invoice dispute resolution with the BSC Riga team.
  • Ensure all criteria are met before completing delivery requests.
  • Understand customer-specific services, volumes, and carrier relationships.
  • Review and suggest improvements for departmental processes.
  • Prepare reports and support daily operations.
  • Manage VIP customer accounts and ensure process compliance.
  • Collaborate with suppliers and stakeholders to ensure performance standards are met.
