About Position and details:

  • Role: Windows Automation Engineer
  • Location: Harbour Exchange Square, London
  • Onsite: 2 to 3 days to office
  • Job Type: Full time Contract role (Initially for 6 months)

Responsibilities:

  • Workflow: Come up with a workflow from getting the request for a new application or package from users to sourcing the same, scanning for security vulnerability, making it available on Nexus.
  • Automation: Automate or provide scripts for the users to download and install the required package onto the VDIs.
  • Monitoring and Maintenance: Monitor the currency of the tools/Packages to make the n+1 version available or decommission any obsolete tools.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with Infrastructure, Vulnerability/Security, L2 and dependent CLS teams to define and operationalize the process.
  • Documentation: Create and maintain documentation to support the process and user guides for installing or troubleshooting.
  • Innovation: Stay updated with the latest technologies and best practices in platform engineering, tool development.
  • Security: Implement security and CLS sourcing compliance measures from the tools being identified up to making it available on Nexus.
  • Training and Support: Provide training and support to team members to support this service and mitigate resource dependency.

  • Working with Windows PowerShell, Nexus and automation workflow tools, VDI, Application packing, Automation.
