What is the role? This is an exciting opportunity for a Legal PA to join the Legal Team on a fixed term contract for up to 12 months. Reporting to the Litigation Solicitor, you will provide comprehensive administrative and secretarial support to the litigation team, assisting with the management and tracking of claims involving Persimmon Plc and its group companies, including matters handled by insurers and external solicitors.
What will I be doing as a Legal PA (Litigation)?
- Provide administrative and secretarial support to the Litigation Solicitor and wider litigation team, including diary management, meeting coordination, travel arrangements, correspondence, and handling telephone and email enquiries.
- Maintain and update litigation and claims records, including case tracking databases, document management systems, electronic filing, file retrieval, storage, and destruction processes.
- Prepare, scan, upload, download, organise and circulate legal documentation, including court bundles, correspondence, incoming and outgoing mail, and documents shared with external solicitors and insurers.
- Liaise with external solicitors, insurers, courts and other stakeholders regarding ongoing claims, documentation requests, engagement letters, invoices and case updates.
- Support the efficient operation of the team through general administration duties, including filing, photocopying, proofreading, document preparation and compliance‑related tasks as required.
What experience do I need?
- GCSEs (or equivalent) including English and Maths; a Secretarial NVQ/Diploma or similar qualification is desirable.
- Previous experience in an administrative, secretarial or PA role, with strong document management, diary management and organisational skills.
- Confident IT user with experience of Microsoft Office applications, PDF editing and the ability to learn new systems quickly.
- Excellent communication skills, attention to detail and the ability to manage competing priorities, meet deadlines, maintain confidentiality and work proactively in a fast‑paced environment.
