This is an exciting opportunity for a Conveyancer to join the Legal Team at Persimmon Homes. This role typically reports to the Company Solicitor heading the Plot Team in the relevant location.
This role will be responsible for ensuring that plot sales (including part-exchange acquisitions) are conducted efficiently and exchanges are within the reservation period. The role will include:
- Managing and running plot sales, part exchanges and purchases for such Group companies that are designated to you
- Building relationships with the purchasers' solicitors, our Group Legal Department and regional operating companies
- Preparing individual plot documentation and part exchange reports
- Monitoring the legal process as well as managing the transfer or lease process
- Dealing with miscellaneous property queries and other plot related property matters
- Carrying out AML checks
What we need from you:
- Excellent knowledge of residential conveyancing, practice and procedure
- Previous experience of handling plot sales for a residential house builder (either in house or in private practice) would be advantageous
- It is essential that you are computer literate, have good social skills and a confident telephone manner
- You will be expected to work without secretarial support, need to be calm, organised and capable of working under pressure and to tight deadlines
