The Role
We are seeking a dedicated Adoption Engineer to join our Technical Team. You will play a pivotal role in delivering practical and cost effective adoption engineering services for our regional business. This role involves close liaison with the Local Authority, Highway Authorities, Property Management companies and external consultants.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Produce cost effective technical information for sewer adoptions (S104, S106), addressing specific issues and finding efficient solutions.
- Liaise closely with Local Authorities regarding road adoptions (S38 and S278), managing processes to maintain the company's interests.
- Ensure timely and accurate processing of all road and sewer adoption agreements to maintain compliance.
- Manage the transfer of open spaces, play areas, etc., to Management Companies, ensuring swift and accurate handovers in line with company policy.
- Coordinate and manage ongoing maintenance issues and remedial works prior to adoption or handover, upholding the highest standards.
- Occasionally deputise for the Senior Adoptions Engineer, providing support and assistance to the team.
What We Need from You
- Ideally HNC/HND qualified (or studying towards) in an Engineering related qualification.
- Previous experience as an Adoptions Engineer or with a Highways or Drainage Authority.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.
