The Persian Advice Bureau (PAB) is a community-based charity dedicated to supporting refugees, migrants, and disadvantaged individuals from any background or nationality, through immigration advice, housing support, welfare assistance, and community integration services. We are committed to empowering individuals, promoting inclusion, and improving access to essential services for those facing barriers and disadvantage. IAA Level 2: £28,500–£30,000 per annum (depending on qualifications and experience). IAA Level 3: £32,000–£34,000 per annum (depending on qualifications and experience).
28 days annual leave, inclusive of bank holidays. Applicants must hold current IAA accreditation at Level 2 or Level 3. Applications from individuals who do not hold a minimum of IAA Level 2 accreditation will not be considered.

Key Responsibilities
- Immigration Advice and Casework
- Provide immigration advice and casework within the scope of IAA Level 2 or Level 3 authorisation.
- Conduct client assessments and identify appropriate immigration options and pathways.
- Prepare and submit immigration applications, representations and supporting documentation.
- Draft detailed legal representations and correspondence to the Home Office and other agencies.
- Maintain regular communication with clients regarding the progress of their cases.
- Liaise with the Home Office, solicitors, barristers, local authorities and other relevant stakeholders as required.
- Experience of delivering complex advice work dealing with asylum seekers, refugees, vulnerable migrants, ‘outside of rules applications’ and representation at tribunal (for IAA L3 advisors only).
- Case Management and Compliance
- Maintain accurate, confidential and comprehensive client records.
- Ensure all casework complies with IAA standards, immigration legislation and organisational policies.
- Participate in supervision, peer review and quality assurance processes.
- Keep up to date with developments in immigration law, policy and guidance.
- Partnership and Service Development
- Build effective working relationships with community organisations, statutory agencies and referral partners.
- Contribute to service monitoring, evaluation and reporting requirements.
- Identify safeguarding concerns and respond appropriately in line with organisational procedures.
Qualifications
- LLB or Law Related Degree
- 2 years minimum experience of working in the immigration sector to IAAS standards.
- Experience managing immigration casework and preparing immigration applications.
- Knowledge of UK immigration law and Home Office procedures.
- Experience working with refugees, migrants or other vulnerable groups.
- Ability to prioritise and to manage tight deadlines.
- Ability to explain complex information to clients from different backgrounds.
- A proven high standard of communication skills, including written, oral, presentational and inter-personal skills.
- Strong organisational and case management skills.
- Ability to work independently while maintaining professional standards.
- Commitment to equality, diversity and inclusion.
- Experience within the voluntary or community sector.
- Knowledge of asylum support, housing and welfare systems.
- Ability to speak multiple languages.
- Experience using case management databases and monitoring system.
