We require a friendly and enthusiastic Dispenser to join our team at Pershore Medical Practice. The role is full-time (37.5) with hours to be discussed.
Main duties of the job:
- Process all relevant prescriptions as authorised by the practice doctors, nurse prescribers and pharmacists.
- Issue repeat prescriptions safely and in a timely manner.
- Ensure that all medicines and appliances dispensed are checked against the prescription.
- Dispense and record private prescriptions.
- Receive, record and dispense repeat medication requests including entering and extracting information from the computer.
- Undertake any necessary work as may be required and appropriate to maintain a high standard and efficient dispensing service.
- Ensure the dispensary area remains clean and tidy at all times.
- The dispenser must be prepared to undertake any necessary training to ensure that he/she has the necessary skills and competence required.
- Other delegated duties considered appropriate to the post.
