Prep Technician & MOT Tester – Perrys Citroen & Peugeot Huddersfield

Perrys is one of the UK’s largest car dealership groups, operating since 1908 with over 50 branches nationwide. We’re an official franchised dealer for many of the country’s top car and commercial vehicle brands, including Ford, Kia, Mazda, and Vauxhall.
Prep Technician & MOT Tester Duties
• Work alongside experienced Vehicle Technicians to learn and perform vehicle service, maintenance, and repair
• Conduct safety inspections, oil changes, lubrication work, basic maintenance, and minor repairs as directed
• Carry out MOT tests on all vehicles booked in
• Replenish supplies as requested by technicians or the service manager
• Operate all tools and equipment in a safe manner
• Attend training classes and departmental meetings
• Adapt confidently to the fast-paced environment and high standards of this main dealership
Key Requirements
• NVQ Level 2 in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair qualification
• Relevant MOT Tester licence
• Interest in the motor trade and vehicles, with a desire to become a fully qualified Vehicle Technician
• Ability to work as part of a team and follow instructions
• Full UK Driving Licence
