Workshop Controller Duties:
- Lead, support, and coach a team of Vehicle Technicians, developing skills and fostering a high-performance culture.
- Accurately interpret and communicate customer requirements across the workshop team to ensure service excellence.
- Efficiently plan and allocate work based on technician skill sets and availability to maximise productivity.
- Ensure compliance with manufacturer service standards and maintain customer satisfaction metrics.
- Monitor workflow and job progress, reallocating tasks as needed to meet deadlines and efficiency targets.
- Liaise with internal departments and external customers for vehicle collections, deliveries, and service updates.
- Manage parts ordering through the dealership’s workflow system; ensure accurate job number matching and storage in designated parts racks.
- Maintain workshop efficiency, cleanliness, and adherence to health & safety protocols.
Key Requirements:
- Previous experience as a Workshop Controller. We’re looking for a Mechanic, Service Technician, or similar technical professional who’s ready to step into a leadership role.
- Strong ability to manage competing priorities and meet tight deadlines with a calm, organised approach.
