Founded in Texas in 1920 but finding its spiritual home in the UK, Farah is a heritage menswear brand known for its iconic "F" logo and its deep roots in British youth culture and music. We balance authentic heritage with contemporary style. We are looking for a dynamic leader to take the helm of our London Flagship while playing a pivotal role in supporting our wider Head Office functions.
We are looking for more than just a Store Manager. We need a Flagship Store/Retail Store Support Manager to lead our premier London Soho location and assist our Head Office and wider retail teams. This is primarily a store based position for a commercially minded retail leader who is ready to step up; however, you may occasionally be required to visit our central London head office or our other stores around the UK. You will be responsible for driving the performance and standards of the London Flagship, acting as the ultimate brand ambassador. Simultaneously, you will support the Head Office team with essential administrative, operational, and reporting tasks, acting as the bridge between the retail floor and the Head Office team.
Key Responsibilities
- Flagship Store Management (approx. 80%)
- Commercial Leadership: Drive sales, KPIs, and profitability for the London Flagship. Analyse trade reports to identify opportunities for growth.
- Team Development: Recruit, train, and mentor the store's sales team to deliver a best in class customer store experience and brand storytelling.
- Brand Experience: Ensure the store visual merchandising (VM) standards are impeccable and aligned with brand guidelines.
- Stock Control: Manage inventory levels, organise stock takes, and minimise stock loss through rigorous loss prevention procedures.
- Marketing Support: Identify areas where we can build and develop our local community presence along with implementation of traffic driving initiatives.
- Store Support: Extend administrative and operational support beyond Farah to other brands under the wider Perry Ellis Europe umbrella, assisting with general head office requirements as needed.
- Marketing & Visual Coordination: Work closely with the HO and design team to manage the workflow of creative assets. You will oversee the production and implementation of in-store Point of Sale materials and window display schemes, ensuring they are delivered on time and to spec.
- Retail Operations Support: Assist the Head Office team with weekly trade reporting, collating data, and presenting feedback from the other retail stores to ensure alignment between the store network and business needs.
- Office Administration: Support the wider team with essential administrative tasks, ensuring the smooth running of day-to-day office functions.
- Specialist Projects: Support adhoc projects - eg new store openings, refits etc.
The Ideal Candidate
- Experience: Proven experience in retail management, preferably within menswear or fashion.
- Operational Mindset: Highly organised with strong administrative skills.
- Dual Focus: The ability to switch gears instantly between being a charismatic host and leader on the shop floor and a focused administrator at a desk.
- Communication: Articulate and confident. You will be dealing with everyone from VIP customers, store & head office team members and external partners.
- Brand Affinity: A genuine interest in menswear, music, and culture, with a clear understanding of the Farah aesthetic.
- Travel: Ability to travel when needed.
