You will be motivated and compassionate, with a genuine interest in benefitting the lives of those within our care. Responsibilities of the Shift Leader: As a shift leader you will be key to promoting the physical and emotional well-being of our residents in all aspects of their lives.
As a valued member of our team, you will be involved in: Providing physical and mental stimulation for residents by taking part in social and recreational activities, on a one-to-one and group basis Assisting residents with personal care activities such as washing, personal hygiene and dressing Assisting with mealtimes Ensuring residents' independence, dignity and respect, by delivering the very best person-centred care Helping to maintain accurate records Undertaking regular ongoing training Developing relationships with our residents and their families in order to gain a better understanding of how to provide the best possible care Reviews with external health professionals Lead the team of care assistants Administer medication Skills and Experience of the Shift Leader: Caring, and compassionate nature The desire to make a positive contribution to the lives of others Good written/verbal communication and interpersonal skills The ability to work as part of a team Flexibility to work alternate weekends Ability to use IT systems Use of initiative and ability to problem solve Benefits of the Shift Leader: Comprehensive induction programme Ongoing training and development Free DBS Employee discount scheme (Qualify for Bliue Light Card) Uniform Workplace pension Free on-site parking About Us Welford Healthcare was founded in 2017 with the goal of building a boutique collection of quality care homes across the UK.
