At Perrins Hall Care Home we are looking for a hardworking team player who is passionate about developing a career in the social care industry as a Shift Leader. You will be motivated and compassionate, with a genuine interest in benefitting the lives of those within our care.
Responsibilities of the Shift Leader:
- Providing physical and mental stimulation for residents by taking part in social and recreational activities, on a one-to-one and group basis.
- Assisting residents with personal care activities such as washing, personal hygiene and dressing.
- Assisting with mealtimes.
- Ensuring residents' independence, dignity and respect, by delivering the very best person-centred care.
- Helping to maintain accurate records.
- Undertaking regular ongoing training.
- Developing relationships with our residents and their families in order to gain a better understanding of how to provide the best possible care.
- Reviews with external health professionals.
- Lead the team of care assistants.
- Administer medication.
Skills and Experience of the Shift Leader:
- Caring, and compassionate nature.
- The desire to make a positive contribution to the lives of others.
- Good written/verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
- The ability to work as part of a team.
- Flexibility to work alternate weekends.
- Ability to use IT systems.
