The predicted salary is between 35000 - 45000 £ per year.

In this role you will plan the allocation of purchase volumes across Perrigo's external supplier base for Direct materials and subcontract services ensuring the timely and cost-effective delivery of required materials to enable production to operate to maximum efficiency.

Scope of the Role

  • Review MRP in respect of material requirements based on forecast and orders, collaborate with Master Schedulers / Production Planners to review short, medium to long term material and component demand.
  • Maintain SAP settings with the aim of balancing Inventory levels in line with business requirements taking into account changing supplier lead-times, MOQs, forecast requirements etc.
  • Ensure that inventory is maintained to overall company target at all times by creating and maintaining vendor schedules.
  • Liaise with Buyers and in-house planning teams to agree supplier capacity versus material requirements at site level and rectify any imbalances.
  • Work with Planners on supply chain change events and ensure supply continuity is maintained at all times.
  • Agree inventory recovery plans when required, taking account of known supply constraints and continuity challenges.
  • Contribute to the development of scenario plans taking account of supply chain dynamics – supply and demand reliability, supplier MOQs, seasonal demand and safety stocks etc.
  • Work with internal and external stakeholders to deliver efficiency improvements to the supply chain.
  • Utilize SAP to optimize the planning and procurement process in line with best practice (e.g. DDMRP, Supplier and Customer VMI, Consignment stocks, etc.).
  • Create and maintain KPI score cards to monitor supplier and own performance.
  • Provide guidance, support and mentoring to junior staff members and other department colleagues when required.
  • To undertake such other reasonable duties as may be required from time to time in order to support the Perrigo business.

Experience Required

  • Bachelor degree is preferred with specialism in business, materials management or a related field a key advantage.
  • Non-degree candidates will be considered with 3 years minimum of planning experience within pharma/FMCG industry.
  • Problem solving skills, sound decision making skills, and demonstrated ability to work independently, as well as on a team, and meet tight deadlines within a fast-paced environment are critical to the position’s success.
  • The ideal candidate would possess strong PC skills; Microsoft Excel, Word required; PowerPoint, Visio and MS Project advantageous; SAP experience preferred.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including proven ability to represent Perrigo in a professional manner.
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritize, handle interruptions, and perform multiple tasks simultaneously to successfully meet daily goals is required.
  • Has acquired detailed knowledge of MRP process.
  • Has some experience of working with suppliers and ideally a track record of reducing MOQs and lead times.
