Overview
As Director - Operations, you will lead Perrigo’s Production function to ensure safe, compliant, and cost-efficient manufacture and packaging. You’ll align production strategy with business objectives, regulatory standards, and customer expectations, while driving continuous improvement and cross-functional collaboration. You’ll champion lean manufacturing, scale-up of new products, and robust CAPEX projects to support growth. This role places you at the heart of the site leadership team, shaping performance and culture.

Responsibilities
- Lead and develop the Production team to foster accountability, collaboration, and high performance.
- Ensure on-schedule production and packaging within quality and cost targets.
- Develop and execute production strategies aligned with regulatory and customer expectations.
- Drive Lean and continuous improvement initiatives to reduce waste and improve productivity.
- Implement standard operating procedures and robust production systems for consistency and scalability.
- Monitor production KPIs and use data to drive decisions and improvements.
- Collaborate with site planning to align schedules with demand and inventory targets.
- Partner with Quality Assurance, Regulatory Affairs, R&D, and NPD to support audits, product transfers, scale-up, and new introductions.
- Lead capital projects including facility upgrades and equipment installations.
- Develop a skilled, safety-focused workforce through coaching and succession planning.
- Oversee production planning, resource allocation, and cost controls to meet goals.
Key requirements
- Minimum 8 years in pharmaceutical manufacturing, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
- Proven expertise in lean manufacturing and operational excellence.
- Strong understanding of GMP, regulatory compliance, and pharmaceutical production technologies.
