Description Overview

In this role, you will effectively plan and carry out account management in line with the defined strategic plan of the Contract/B2B customer/product portfolio. You will also drive and build sustainable sales growth through the development of strong customer relationships, both internally and externally, through a collaborative approach with manufacturing, regulatory, quality and supply chain functions. Achieve turnover and gross profit budgets of Perrigo Omega’s range of products globally through current and new customer portfolio development in line with agreed business plans and objectives. This is a fixed-term contract for between 6-7 months.

Scope of the Role

  • Manage and develop the company’s relationships with allocated customers.
  • Identify opportunities to grow the company’s business with these customers and develop plans to achieve that growth.
  • Attend and present at external customer meetings and internal meetings with other company departments necessary to perform duties and aid business development.
  • Influence, monitor, control and communicate customers’ forecast demand against budget and forecast with robust contribution to the Monthly Demand Forecast process to enable Sales Operations to forecast effectively within the SAP system.
  • Communicate, liaise and negotiate internally and externally using appropriate methods to facilitate the development of profitable business and sustainable relationships.
  • Take an active and aggressive approach to prospecting for new business to drive full utilization of manufacturing capacities and capabilities within Perrigo Omega portfolio of sites.
  • Build strong professional relationships with the customer portfolio at all levels and functional responsibilities.

Experience Required

  • Minimum 5 years pharmaceutical sales/business development in the FMCG/Generic market within the UK/EU.
  • A tertiary qualification in business, marketing or healthcare discipline would be advantageous.
  • Experience of dealing at multiple management levels and functions within key blue chip companies.
  • A proven customer-focused orientation and ability to represent the customer internally whilst having knowledge and understanding of corporate standards and processes.
  • Proven sales, negotiation and influencing skills with an excellent communication and teamwork approach.
  • Ability to analyze data to identify market trends and potential strategies to capitalize on them through customer/account management.
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft software including Word and Excel.
