In this role you will provide an effective level of service to the production process by rectifying breakdowns, undertake planned preventative maintenance and contributing to the continual improvement, and process to enable the company to meet its business objectives and goals. You will also undertake machine modifications/improvements and equipment-based project work to improve performance and expand capacity. Assist to optimise machine and line performance. Contribute to the reduction of response times and completion times without reducing quality standards. Encourage a positive attitude from team members and contribute to the line team performance. Conduct basic instruction to line trainers on machine systems where the knowledge is not available from other sources. High safety awareness for self and others in ensuring that safe systems of working are followed, and the risk of an accident is minimised. Undertake such other reasonable duties as may be required from time to time in order to support the Perrigo business. RequiredA recognised engineering apprenticeship, plus engineering experience within a production environment. The ability to fault find and repair complex mechanical systems. Good communication skills to effectively communicate with the production teams over machine / running issues. Expert knowledge of machinery within designated and trained area of the factory.
