Overview In this role you will provide an engineering support service to the Manufacturing and Packaging departments through effective supervision of a Production Engineering team.
You will ensure that production machinery is fit for purpose and performing at the required standard to deliver the production plan.
Scope of the Role Ensure that engineering parts, materials and consumables inventory is maintained.
Set direction to the production support engineering team. Sets both long- and short-term priorities, allocates resource and ensures continuity through effective handovers.
Line management of the Production Support Engineers. Required
Must Haves: Team building/leading skills. Positive and flexible attitude towards own department and customers.
Recognised Engineering Apprenticeship plus 2 years post qualification experience in the pharmaceutical industry.
NVQ II in Mechanical Engineering (preferably with Electrical Module).
Good working knowledge of engineering related safety legislation i. e.
Experience/knowledge of maintenance philosophies such as PPM, TPM.
Continuous improvement/lean manufacturing experience.
Knowledge of c GMP practices relating to Engineering. NVQ III Supervision.
