Scope of the Role
Commercial Strategy & Execution (CS&E) is a mission-critical part of the sales function that represents the voice of the shopper & customer within the Category & Brand teams to create value by optimising internal plans to better enable Perrigo to win.
- Lead development of the Category growth vision and business success model.
- Lead the commercial input within the Category team of shaping the Category strategy for the future to be customer relevant and serve the markets to win.
- Translates category growth strategy into an externally inspiring sell that enables the markets, across all channels to articulate how Perrigo can help drive sustainable business growth.
- Lead commercial elements on annual deployment plan to the markets.
- Lead the definition of the Shopper, channel and category learning plan to ensure Perrigo stays rooted in the consumer and the shopper when designing plans.
- Leading a winning omnichannel strategy for the core priority brands & categories.
- Lead Commercial strategic input into innovation plans from insight to execution.
- Partner with Brand central teams to ensure Customers and Shopper Insights are included in the design of the NPD proposition and PPA.
- Integrate inputs of the lead markets and channel leads to ensure innovation plans are fit for purpose.
- Lead Go to Market strategy definition for launch plans to be deployed to markets.
- Lead creation and delivery of innovation toolkit for markets and tracking of execution.
- Define winning Perfect store strategy.
- Lead creation of defining perfect store strategy, rooted in shopper understanding per channel/brand, with focus on Store Brand positioning and range for European top customers.
- Lead measurement across the markets to drive continuous year on year improvements, with focus on Oral care Store brand and Brand market share, competitors pricing and promo pressure and unit rotations.
- Lead share and reapply across markets and also across other categories within the company.
- Build capability across the CS&I community across the international markets.
- Lead, share and reapply across markets of Category understanding and winning omnichannel approaches.
- Build CS&I capability and skills in developing training for the CS&I teams in the markets on commercial topics.
- Partner with channel leaders to ensure plans are designed fit for purpose to win in each channel.
Experience Required
- Minimum 10+ years of increasing responsibility within FMCG or the Consumer Health industry.
- Minimum five years of experience in sales, business planning, trade marketing or relevant roles leading teams.
- Experience within Shopper & Trade Marketing and Sales Teams.
- Experience managing analytically rigorous corporate programs.
- Experience with international scope.
- Ability to create vision, strategies and operationalise delivery to deliver company goals and win externally with customers.
- Proven ability to translate sales data and business intelligence into insights informing the development of sales strategies.
- Some international travel, within Europe, will be required.
