Overview

We are currently recruiting for a number of process operators to join our team, with both Day and Night shift patterns available. In this role you will be a member of the team involved in running manufacturing lines which convert raw materials into semi-finished product. The day-to-day activities include achieving safety, quality, volume and behavioural expectations with timely escalation of deviations where required. You will work with team members and other internal support functions and report to the Team Manager of the line.

Scope of the Role

  • Assure the safety of oneself and others.
  • Conduct quality checks and relevant follow up activities.
  • Operate the production equipment according to the methods defined for the line.
  • Conduct the various changeover activities of the line including but not limited to disassembly, cleaning, and reassembly.
  • Move components, materials and products from their designated storage locations to the line or vice-versa, using, where required, pallet trucks.
  • Read, understand and act on detailed written instructions and procedures, written in English.
  • Measure and record data, adding explanations and comments to paperwork where appropriate and required.
  • Interact with electronic production monitoring equipment.
  • Maintain the working environment in a clean and GMP compliant state.
  • Participate in team briefings, continuous improvement projects or other initiatives designed to ensure competitiveness of the company.
  • Provide training for colleagues in the job-holder’s area of expertise, if selected by the company for providing training.
  • Escalate relevant information and decisions to the job holder’s colleagues and managers.
  • Undertake other reasonable duties that may be required from time-to-time to support the Perrigo business.

Experience Required

  • Basic numeracy and literacy skills.
  • Able to follow the principles of teamwork.
  • Able to undertake physical work including lifting, lowering, carrying, pushing and pulling as defined by the Health and Safety Executive (HSE), while keeping up with production line speed.
  • Willing to demonstrate consistently the company core values and performance pillars over time.
