Scope of the Role

  • Process Subject Matter Expert
    • Achieve and maintain expert knowledge of processes and equipment within a specific manufacturing area.
  • Process Design and Optimisation
    • Identify opportunities for process optimisation.
    • Design process changes to realize the identified opportunities.
    • Conduct engineering change management activities to assess proposed process changes.
    • Contribute to preliminary financial analysis of improvements to quantify benefit.
    • Evaluate potential improvements to ensure the most beneficial are prioritized.
    • Oversee implementation of changes.
  • Regulatory Compliance
    • Ensure processes meet EHS, quality, and other regulatory requirements.
    • Conduct process and equipment assessments to identify risks and implement corrective actions.
  • Production Support
    • Work with maintenance, production, quality, and capital project teams to design, implement, and maintain production equipment and systems.
    • Investigate and troubleshoot production issues and implement corrective actions.
  • Continuous Improvement
    • Apply Lean and Six Sigma principles to enhance efficiency and reduce waste.
  • Documentation
    • Contribute to the engineering documentation/drawing management system.
    • Contribute to the development of SOPs, validation protocols, and user requirement specifications.
    • Write technical reports.

Experience Required

  • Degree in a relevant engineering discipline.
  • 3+ years of experience in a process engineering role within a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience in an oral solid dose pharmaceutical manufacturing environment (preferred).
  • Experience with process optimisation.
  • Experience writing technical reports.
  • Experience in a highly regulated industry (preferred).
  • Experience with industrial building services (preferred).
  • Experience working in a cGMP environment (preferred).
